Official patch notes
Live Update 1.33.0

A Live Update from Embark. The Nomadic Envoys arrive in Speranza, and earning their trust means heading Topside to gather supplies and recover relics.

Forgotten Relics event

  • Earn Merits from XP and by finding relics in containers across the maps.
  • Merits unlock rewards including weapons, gameplay items, and Raider Tokens.
  • You must extract successfully to keep the Merits from any relics you recovered.
  • Rewards include the Saltwalker Outfit and cosmetic toggles.

Forgotten Relics — recover relics from containers across Topside

Converging Paths project

Runs June 16 to July 27.

  • Secure safe passage for the nomads, gather supplies, and recover relics.
  • Relics you uncover are shown in a Display Case as the project progresses.
  • Final rewards: the Red-Black Saltwalker Outfit variant, the Sextant backpack charm, and 300 Raider Tokens in total.

The Converging Paths Display Case fills as you recover relics

Gameplay

  • Free Loadout is disabled in Night Raid and Close Scrutiny for three weeks to raise the barrier of entry for those higher-loot scenarios.
  • The Reaver Set bundle is available in the store.

Fixes

  • Aiming down sights no longer loses accuracy on some weapons.
  • Players no longer clip through the map when stepping on Fireball and Pop parts.
  • Quest objectives no longer activate out of order.
  • Damage tracking now excludes squad-member damage.
  • Rocketeers now drop Launcher Ammo instead of Heavy Ammo, and the Firefly incendiary grenade issue is resolved.
  • Queens and Matriarchs stand on terrain more reliably.
  • Extraction announcements, Barricade Kit dismantling audio, and Raider Cache audio cues are fixed.
  • Stack sizes now display correctly in Ermal’s offers, plus several inventory and stash merging fixes.

Known issues

Embark is tracking these for upcoming fixes:

  • Some PC players may see lower FPS than usual. Updating GPU drivers, or rolling back a recent driver, can help.
  • Some Xbox players, especially on Series S, are experiencing crashes, which Embark is investigating.
  • Reports of unwanted Quick Wheel behavior are being looked into.
  • Training dummies take no damage from the Dolabra, Hullcracker, and Rascal.
  • The throw animation can fail when a Trigger ‘Nade is detonated immediately after throwing.
  • Some gadgets and throwables are missing the Cancel button while being prepared.
  • Weapon-swap animations can break after vaulting, and player animations can break when a Baron Husk search is interrupted.
  • Some hairstyles clip through the Reaver helmet, and the Saltwalker preview shows duplicate toggles.
  • Shredders can float in Hidden Bunker rooms, and Leapers can jump through the ARC Turbine.
  • An Access Capacitor Rack can spawn without interactable batteries.
  • Some pickup sounds are incorrect, and items that grant Merits can wrongly show the Merits icon in raids.
  • ARC shots may not always register, and post-revival Augment health effects no longer pause when you take damage.

Anti-cheat

The Denuvo Anti-Cheat rollout continues, with a new inbox system: an Action Notice confirms bans on players you reported, and Loot Compensation automatically returns items lost to identified cheaters.

The road to October

Embark has called October its biggest update yet, with a Content Update of that scale planned roughly every six months after it. Most of the team is now focused on what ships then: building the new map, bringing ARC to life, planning new routes of progression, writing quests, testing weapons, and recording new music. None of that releases before October. In the shorter term, new content comes through Projects and Events, like the Forgotten Relics event and Converging Paths project above.

Separating routine Live Updates from these larger Content Updates is what keeps both moving: a dedicated live-service team can react faster to bugs and balance while the bigger build continues. Embark acknowledges this is a quieter stretch for the game, and says there is more coming through the Summer and in the run-up to Frozen Trail.
